myLot Discussions| What is your top ten Christmas wish? | | These are just wishes...nothing wrong with wishing, as long as we dont dwell in them if the wish doesnt come true....we have christmas wishes maybe because it is considered as the time to give and receive gifts. We get christmas bonus or cash incentives from the office, the reason why people get to be materialistic...So for the sake of wishing...lets get to be materialistic for just this once...my top ten "materialistc" wishes are...
1. A digital picture frame
2. An aquarium center table which I saw at $500
3. A yellow Cherry automatic---a little car made in China
4. The latest thin apple macbook for my hubby
5. An Ariston Induction system for the kitchen
6. A complete SamsoniteLuggage to be used to
7. A trip for four to Greece
8. Pairs of Nine West shoes with matching bags in all colors available+coach bags
9. Complete Speedo snorkling gear for my kids(their's need chage)
10. and a Home theatre.

| | Pet Peeves? What are yours? | | Is it okay for you if you find out that something you lent to someone was further lent to someone else? I let my sister use my Samsonite luggage a year ago and recently found out that she let her boyfriend borrow it for his out-of-town trip. Now, my luggage is scuffed and scratched and I'm thinking of throwing a hissy fit. What are your pet peeves? | |
| | Buying things we dont need or want | | Did you realise that there are things that we buy but we actually don't really need or want them. You probably bought on expensive food possessor but realised you dont use it because you hate cooking. You have a Gold Cross pen and pencil set that you've never taken out of the box. And even have a gorgeous piece of Samsonite luggage, yet you dont travel. Why do we buy things that we dont need or want? Is it because it a must have or that everyone has it? Or is it a collection, perhaps for own satisfaction? What is the reasons? | |
| | What kind of luggage you have on holidays? | | Do you prefer trolleys or shoulder-bags or hand-bags, plastic (samsonite like) cases or tissue or leather suit-cases?
A lot of bags or just a little thing? In my opinion the least the best.

| | How do you identify a branded item? | | Last weekend, I bought a luggage bag of the brandAmerican Touristerfor Rs. 5700/-. I went for shopping with my friend and she said that it is a very good deal and the brandAmerican Touristeris one of the top bag brands of the world next toSamsonite. But, I saw the same type of bag for Rs. 2700/- in another shop. So, I am confused and I don't know whether I have taken a correct decision. The only good thing about American Tourister is that I got '3 years of global warranty' which the cheap bag company won't provide. How do you identify a branded item?
Does expensive mean branded?
Do you think an item is branded when you it's on TV?
| | For people in the Philippines (but others may read too=>) | | Hi friends! I'm posting this coz I need all your help.I lost my digicam last Wednesday night, Feb 21, 2007 around 10pm, and I believe I lost it at the NAIA airport at Terminal 1. I'm very sure the cam is with me when I boarded the plane from hong kong so the only place it could've gotten is anywhere from the plane to the baggage counter 5 to the arrival area GHIJKL because that's my last stop before I got in the van.I called all the people that I know in NAIA and Cebu Pacific(my plane) and they didn't find anything so I'm assuming a passenger got it. Please, if you have friends, relatives, officemates, or anyone who would tell you they got a new Nikon Coolpix L6 digicam that's inside a Samsonite dark blue case, I hope you will remember this email and please contact me asap. The most important thing are the pictures inside the cam. I could buy a new cam but NOT the pictures inside. EVEN IF THE PICTURES ONLY WILL BE RETURNED in the memory card and not the DIGIcam, I would VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT ALREADY, PICTURES ARE MORE IMPORTANT. I have a nephew and a kid cousin and its their 1st time as well in Hong Kong Disneyland and I just feel very much frustrated I lost all their... | |
| | WOOT.com | | Who else has been to woot.com? If you haven't been there, but like to find deals on techie items like you see at bensbargians.net or other deal sites, this is a pretty cool place to shop. Catch is... they only sell one item per day. It goes on sale at 10pm PST.Even better, they do this "Bag O' Crap" deal for $1. It's probably the only reason 99% of their customers go on the site... at least the ones I know. My sister actually got through and bought 3 bags. Her items were:- 2 data guards for USB
- a spotlight flashlight
- samsonite camera bagNot bad for only $8, but then again not too useful. People have been known to get notes in their bags saying "I'm sorry, your item will not fit in the bag." Only to find that their real item is shipped later and is a HDTV! Shipping is $5 no matter if you buy a 40" TV or a pen. It includes buying in multiples as well. If nothing else, read the product descriptions for some humor. They are actually pretty funny.Anyone else checked out this site and/or have any insight into it? I've heard that woot got stolen products before... that true?
