| | Bananas from Costa Rica | | This Urban Legends came from an Email forward and it became a bit viral, According to this Urban legend a variety of Banana became infected by Flesh eating bacterias and it had damaged the population of monkeys in Costa Rica. If you dont know what is a Flesh eating Bacteria, its a kind of Bacteria that can decay you even if you were still alive because they will feed on your flesh. According to this email chain letter, If you felt some sort of itching after eating a banana, Go to the nearest doctor, you were infected. This is the craziest Urban legend I ever heard, Imagine making an innocent banana horrifying? | |
| | I assume that Rush Limbaugh is already packed and ready to head for Costa Rica | | Rush Limbaugh the Republican mouth piece who ha repeatedly claimed to be the voice of the American people, said that if the healthcare bill was passed that he was leaving the country and moving to Costa Rica. We have known that Obama was set to sign the bill for a few days which has given Rush time to pack. Besides I am sure he has maids and servants to help him. So Rush should be leaving any time now right? And good riddance to that loud mouthed, abrasive, Republican who condescends to say, the American people don't want this and "The American People want".. when he ha no clue what we do or do not want. He's just another spout for the party line. "Tax them and do nothing for them that you don't absolutely have to." "Control the great unwashed masses so that they don't have a chance of getting the things that we priveleged few have." etc etc and so forth. What would Rush Limbaugh know about being sick and not being able to go to a doctor because you simply cannot afford it? What would he know about sitting in a county emergency room with a sick child all night because you don't have insurance and your child doesn't have a primary care doctor. | | Help protect endangered sea turtles in Costa Rica | | During the last 20 years, 90% of the Pacific Ocean leatherback turtle population disappeared. One of their last refuges is Las Baulas National Marine Park from Costa Rica, where the turtles (only 1000 left) come to lay their eggs. Their fate is to be decided by the Costa Rican government, who is debating either to maintain national park status for Las Baulas or not. Needless to say the downgrading of this area from its present status would be the doom of the leatherback turtles.[em]cry[/em]You can send a message to the Costa Rican government, asking them to think this action very carefully, as they have the fate of this species in their hands.
