| | Mexico's President calls Az's Law discrimatory? | | Well the president of Mexico is visiting and putting in his two cents about the illegal immigrants law in AZ. He is calling it discrimatory. Really....how is that? How is it discrimatory to hold people accountable for breaking the law? Is it going to be discrimatory to hold ANYONE accountable for breaking any laws now? They are breaking the law....so they need to be held accountable. They knew when they crossed the border what would happen if they were caught. They showed a disreguard for the laws of this country, then dare us to hold them accountable for it...so aren't they discriminating against the US people and our country?It is holding people accountable for not following the law. The rest of us have to follow the laws of this country...why shouldn't they? If we break the law we get punished...why shouldn't they?
Can anyone please explain to me how Mexico...with some of the toughest immigration policies and punishments on record...can dare to tell us our laws are discrimatory or even tell us how we should run our country? | |
| | She wanted a wedding in Mexico. | | A friend of mime has a daughter who had these big plans to get married in Mexico. The bride to be and her husband to be were going to pay for the wedding,like for the dinner,reception and all the other stuff for the wedding. The bad things about it was they were going to invite a ton of people. Everyone who'd be invited would have to pay their own way to the wedding and get their own hotel rooms! When the couple sat down and discussed it with both set of parents it was shoot down! The couple didn't think how money the guests would have to pay! Alot of the family would not be able or have a hard time affording this trip! So the engaged couple have changed plans and have been looking for a place for the wedding dinner and reception1! A most better idea and the parents are happy! Some couples just get carried sometimes! | |

Mexican President Felipe Calderon denounced as "racial discrimination" an Arizona law giving state and local police the authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants and vowed to use all means at his disposal to defend Mexican nationals against a law he called a "violation of human rights."But the legislation, signed April 23 by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, is similar to Reglamento de la Ley General de Poblacion — the General Law on Population enacted in Mexico in April 2000, which mandates that federal, local and municipal police cooperate with federal immigration authorities in that country in the arrests of illegal immigrants.Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. | | My dollar went to La Paz, Mexico! Where have your dollars gone? | | My dollars have now gone to 4 states, Puerto Rico, and now Mexico. They certainly are traveling. It's interesting because it's hard to predict where a dollar will go. I thought Vermont and Michigan would be my first two states and my first foreign country would be Canada. So much for proximity. | | How to travel safe in Mexico? | | Hi, I came to Monterrey, Mexico for 5 months for my studies, I come from Europe so I want to benefit of this time as much as possible and visit many places. However nowadays regarding last news about drug wars in Mexico and kidnappings, I'm wondering: may I risk traveling by bus, especially by night? What are the cities that I must see and the-ones I should better not go these days? Shall I trust to police? In case of emergency where can I call if not police? Do you think this is really danger to walk alone down a street for a white guy by day? Would you recommend to see Guadalajara and Mexico City these days and during Easter Holidays? And finally is it really so risky all over Mexico, as they say?
